The Inaugural Fi$cy Awards

US CapitolFaced with a national debt of $13.8 trillion and a $1.3 trillion deficit, America needs to get its fiscal house in order. Elected officials need to begin to act with discipline and embrace the idea of fiscal responsibility, and avoid compromising the standard of living for future generations.

The inaugural Fiscy Awards are being organized by Passport Capital LLC. The Comeback America Initiative, the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget and the Concord Coalition will serve as the Awards Committee. The Fiscy Awards will honor three elected officials who are often leading the way in promoting fiscal responsibility and government accountability.The non-partisan Fiscy Awards will honor two officials at the federal level and one at the state or local level.


The 2011 Fiscy Award Recipients:

  • Sen. Kent Conrad (D-ND), Senate Budget Committee Chairman, 112th Congress

  • Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI), House Budget Committee Chairman, 112th Congress

  • Gov. Mitch Daniels (R-IN), 49th Governor of Indiana
